But God. This past year our church had a wonderful praise service, and as I listened to several of the testimonies, I heard these two words, two words perfectly chosen to remind us of God’s working in the midst of challenges.
I think we have all had seasons where our flesh and heart have failed – seasons where our human efforts were just simply spent, exhausted. Are those rough times? Absolutely! Are those wasted times? Absolutely not!
For in those spent moments, we are powerfully reminded that our God never fails. Never spent. Never exhausted. But God.
Not seeing God’s plan for your suffering? But God.
Feeling that God has forgotten where you are? But God.
Overwhelmed with doubts and anxiety? But God.
Convinced that there is no hope? But God.
Perhaps you are truly feeling exhausted by life’s challenges. No worries – Our God is our unending source of strength and joy. What a refreshing truth to ponder!
I imagine that there are countless challenges of all sorts being faced today that need a “but God” ending. There is no better time than today to acknowledge our human frailty and embrace the God Who can write the perfect ending to our story. But God.
So thankful tonight for the “But God” moments on my life. Thank you for sharing.
Me, too, Pam! I’m so glad He knows what is best for my life. We can always rest in His goodness. You’re quite welcome.
