Being intentional.  Ever caught yourself saying to someone or even thinking to yourself, “I could have done that” or “I should have done that”?  I know I have said both of those statements far too many times.

What does being intentional even mean?  Being intentional means doing something “on purpose” – being “deliberate.”  When we are not intentional, we are choosing to miss out on many God-given opportunities.

One God-given opportunity that we do not want to miss is growing our relationship with Him.  We say we want to know Him more, but too often our “want to” fails to produce action.  Intentional. Purposeful. Deliberate. Concrete words that lead to concrete results.

How exciting to know that today we can grow our relationship with Him by intentionally getting in His Word!

Psalm 23 lovingly unveils His guidance, provision, given rest, protection, comfort, blessing, goodness, and our eternal home.

Psalm 27:13, 14 highlights His goodness and the strength and fortitude He provides.

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that He desires to provide the strength and victory we need in our everyday lives.

Lamentations 3:21-23 lifts our spirits as we contemplate the hope, compassion, new mercies, and faithfulness that emanate from Him.

Everyday God-given opportunities.  Let’s not be caught saying “I could have known Him more” or “I should have known Him more.”  Instead let’s purpose to embrace those concrete words and see our relationship with the Lord flourish.

Intentional. Purposeful. Deliberate.
