I recently did a study on some of the specific names of God and they are all so comforting. Each and every one of them assures me that He is who He says, and we can always be sure of Him.

One that has really been a help to me personally is El Roi, being the God who sees me. Genesis 16:13 says, “And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?”

Wow, it comforts my heart to know that God sees after ME, but it challenges me to ask do I look after Him… sure it is easy to say we look to Him but do we really? More than just asking Him to meet our needs.

More than just checking off our daily Bible reading. Do we really look after Him? Do we really consider Him? Are we mindful of Him throughout our entire day and night? He is always mindful of us. He always has our best interest in mind.

Psalms 8:4 says, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” God takes knowledge of YOU. God sees after YOU. He has your best interest in mind. He goes before you.

He loves you and has chosen you. So just when you feel forgotten or forsaken, take heart because the God of the universe and of the Bible takes knowledge of you. But examine your heart and your vision… do you look after Him?

Do you take knowledge of Him? Because He is worthy of your whole heart, vision, and life. He is worthy to be noticed. He is worthy of your walk. He is worthy of your talk. He deserves more than a checklist; He deserves your whole heart.

Your whole day. It is easy for us to say we are looking to Him and seeking His will but are we really? Are we willing to sacrifice time and pray more? Are we willing to share what we have read in His Word?

Are we willing to look for Jesus in the hard times? So, rest surely in the truth that He sees you and takes knowledge of you. And then, examine yourself and be sure that you are looking after Him. He is worthy of your sight. He is worthy of your heart. He is worthy of your life.
