Wonderful to have Cindee Bailey share devotional thoughts with us this week! If you don’t know her, take a moment and check her out on our contributor’s page.

Have you ever had someone at your door knocking and you holler out “just a minute” or mutter  “who could that be” ?!  I know I have.  I’ve also ignored the knocking hoping the person on the other side would go away.

Now imagine you are going through rough times, and your life feels like it is out of control.  You are consumed with worry, anxiety and weariness.  Finding the answers to your problems seems so far away.  But is the answer that far away?!

Our Heavenly Father loves His children and wants to be invited into our lives and our messes.  1 Peter 5:7 tells us “casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you”.  He wants to give us encouragement, strength and wisdom to pull us through the times we don’t understand or see how He is working through our circumstances.

Psalm 25-4:5 “Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths; Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day”.

Next time you hear knocking at your heart’s door, be sure to answer it quickly. There is help and hope on the other side.
